Now that it is only weeks away from Kiana's due date, we are beginning to prepare more seriously for her arrival! Aidan knows that Kiana will be here soon. He now regularly gives Mama big hugs, snuggling up over my giant belly, and says "I'm cuddling with Kiana!". On Saturday, he also gave me a speculative look and said, "Mama, you've got a BIG tummy!" (At 36 1/2 weeks, he is definitely right about that!)

This weekend, we went to the Catskills and managed both to have fun and be productive: Aidan helped Grandma Ruane and Daddy water Grandma's plants and plant her garden, and Mommy and Daddy sorted through all of Aidan's old baby clothes and paraphernelia (that has been stored in the attic) and pulled out all of the gear and gender-neutral clothing that we could for Kiana. We came back with a full car, as well as sunkissed cheeks for Aidan, which was great!

Once we got back on Sunday, Laurie came over to hang out with Aidan and Mommy and Daddy went to go see Fela! on Broadway! Aidan ate pizza and ice cream and stayed at the park till it was almost dark, so he had fun, and we enjoyed what might be one of the last minimally complicated dates for a while. Fela! was incredible, and we are really glad that we took the chance to go. Now, we're all just trying to finish up loose ends, before a whole new adventure starts. We know it will be intense, but we're looking forward to meeting the new addition to our family!
