Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter! Yesterday it poured freezing rain all day long, but today dawned with crisp clear blue skies - it was beautiful!

Aidan had four rounds of Easter eggs within the last week, and he is now really getting the hang of it! Last Saturday, he went to a community easter egg hunt where he got mad that he had to stop eating goldfish to participate in the hunt, and where he got scared of the hords of kids and person dressed up as an Easter Bunny.

On Thursday, he had an Easter egg hunt at playgroup, where he spent the first few minutes watching everyone else, but finally picked up 6 or 7 eggs (full of stickers, cheerios and bunny cookies).

On Saturday, when he didn't want to go to sleep, Daddy told him that we had to go to sleep, because the Easter Bunny was going to bring eggs for him in the morning, some even with cocoa in them! So, he finally caved in.

Then, this morning, Aidan found a basket full of eggs waiting for him by the front door, filled with his favorite snacks -- veggie straws and goldfish -- as well as chocolate and graham flavored goldfish, and even some m&ms! He had just eaten a giant breakfast (Mommy made the Ross family strudal, an amazing fruit salad, and scrambled eggs with brie, and we all had orange juice and cocoa as well). However, he still managed to get down to business eating his easter eggs!

After brunch, we all went to church and afterwards he had yet another Easter egg hunt. This time, the big kids and little kids had different areas to hunt in, and Aidan finally got the hang of it: he walked around, picking up eggs, opening each one, and eating the contents (cheerios, goldfish or oyster crackers), before moving on to the next one! He also refused to eat anything but the contents of Easter eggs for the rest of the day.

On Friday, we also had a wonderful family day. We visited the Bronx Zoo, where we visited grizzly bears, polar bears, snakes, turtles, crocadiles, mice, giraffes, and a roaring lion! We had a wonderful time.
