Aidan had a wonderful time both days in daycare this week! We are thrilled. When Mommy picked him up both days, he started fake crying a bit, but it seemed like he was only really doing it because that was our pick-up routine! Mommy tried to start a new routine by telling him that she was so happy to see him, and was he happy to see her? And Aidan quicky said "uh huh!" and showed her all of the cool tunnels, computer games, and doll-house, and other toys that he had fun playing with.

Aidan's language is more and more amazing every week. On Easter last weekend, Mommy told him to tell Daddy to come eat, and he immediately jogged down the hallway, and said cheerily, "Dada! Come et!" During the mornings, he has been an insistent alarm clock for Daddy by standing at the edge of the bed and saying "Up, dada! Up!" He is now regularly putting together two and three word combinations (like "Go, whit[e] bus!" or "[Go [A]way, Mama/Dada!"] On Friday night, Mommy went to try out Bikram yoga (hot yoga), and on Saturday, Mommy and Daddy had a date, and afterwards Aidan said Mama had gone to "hoga" and that Mama and Dadda had gone on a "dat" - he is so cute!

We all had a great time this weekend. On Saturday morning, we visited the Central Park Zoo, where Aidan loved watching the sea lions get fed, and we also saw snakes, sloths, penguins, and two sleeping polar bears. On Saturday night, Aidan stayed with his babysitter Laurie while Mommy and Daddy had our first evening date since Aidan was born (dinner & wine at the Metropolitan Museum of Art), and Aidan passed out totally happily, so the evening went great for everyone! On Sunday, we had dinner with Johnny and Grace's families, and the kids had lots of fun playing together and chowing down on lasagna and brownies.
